TEAM SWEATER
Size 6 needles

BACK
Cast on 53 stitches. Work in K1, P1 for 1".
Work in stockinette (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) until piece measures 5-1/4" Mark each side (this will be the marking for the sleeves) Continue working until piece measures 10" or desired length.
NECK SHAPING
Work 21 stitches, Next 11 stitches put on a holder. Join 2nd ball of yarn and work remaining stitches.
Working both sides at once with separate balls of yearn, bind off 2 sts from each neck edge once. Work 2 more rows across each side, bind off loosely remaining 19 stitches each side for shoulders.
FRONT
Work same as back side.
(If you desire to add team name)
Work same as back side until piece measures 2" or desired. (Letters should only take 5 rows, so this should be attempted to be in mid chest area) *See chart to include lettering for next five rows.
Mark at 5 ¼" each side for sleeves). Continue pattern as back.

SLEEVES
Cast on 31 stitches. Work K1, P1 for 1". Continue working in stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row)
Until piece measures 4-1/2 " or desired length. Bind off loosely.
NECK EDGE FINISHING
Sew one shoulder seam. Pick up a total of 55 stitches (including stitches on front and back holders) Work in K1, P1 rib for ½" or desired length. Bind off loosely by using large needle. (if you are using a size 6 needle, use a 8 or 9 size needle when binding off) Cut off yarn leaving 12" tail. Sew seam of neck edge and remaining shoulder seam.

Finish by placing sleeves aligned with the markers of front and back pieces. Sew sleeves in and then sew down along the side seams. Do same for other side.

TEAM HAT
Size 5 or 6 needles
Cast on 50 stitches. Work in rib of K1, P1 for 6 rows. Change to stockinette (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) for 8 rows. * See chart for team lettering (if you are not going to add lettering, continue piece for 24 rows)

After lettering, work piece for 11 more rows.
SHAPE TOP
Row 1: *K5, K2tog, repeat from * across
Row 2 and all even rows: Purl
Row 3: *K4, K2tog, repeat from * across
Row5: *K3, K2tog, repeat from * across
Row 7: *K2, K2tog, repeat from * across
Row 9: *K1, K2tog, repeat from * across
Row 11: K2tog across row.
Cut yarn leaving 12". Weave seam through stitches and sew seam.
